Nestled amidst open green fields on the northern fringe of Uttar Dinajpur district, Chopra Kamala Paul Smriti Mahavidyalaya plays a vital role in the educational landscape of northern West Bengal. River Dahuk, an offshoot branch of Mahananda river is flowing in its murmuring course to the north of the college. This seat of education lies 55 km south of Siliguri city enroute to Raiganj, the district headquarter of Uttar Dinajpur. The college was established in 2013 and offers undergraduate (UG) courses in arts (B.A) with departments such as Bengali, English, Education, History, Pol.Sc., Urdu, Philosophy and Sociology. It is affiliated to the University of North Bengal & a Govt.aided college. The college is listed as UGC 2(f) & 12(B). It was accredited by NAAC in 2025.The college is named in memory of Kamala Paul. Her eligible sons donated the land for the college. In fact, the institution is ‘of the student, by the student, for the student’.
